I find myself in a new year and at a crossroads in my own life. For the past almost ten years, I have not only been with you both daily but also in the trenches with my nanny family. I realize that in ending my chapter as the help of six (their 4 + you 2), that it will also be a big change for you both as well. That’s where the above quote has a deeper meaning for all of us.
For me, staying seems like it would almost be easier, safer, but what I’m finding is that my growth as a person very much needs to shed this identity of caretaker (of small children from home) and put myself out there career wise again. So, I typed up my resume and applied for a new job this week. It appears, blossoming is my new identity-
